Our On the Shelf prepackaged basin assembly is everything you need to install your whole system as one item. This includes a model WDH820 grinder pump, 24″ x 48″ basin assembly, control panel, and float switches.
Solids are cut into a slurry using the industry proven “scissor like” Tri-Slice ® cutter technology. This includes a rotating cutter cutting against the stationary cutter plate reducing solids down to 1/8″. The 200-230 Volt, 2 HP, Model 820 utilizes a vortex impeller.
The WDH820, is a fully automatic float-operated grinder pump with a wide-angle float switch hardwired directly into the pump allowing it to turn on when called upon. The Model 820 is constructed with a cast iron body, enabling it to withstand the most demanding sewage ejector applications. The pump’s identification tag, handle, and hardware are made of high-quality stainless steel preventing rust and corrosion. Everything about the pump is designed in a way that allows it to hold up in the toughest sewage conditions.
This 24″ x 48″ fiberglass basin assembly is job ready and includes Zoeller’s Z-Rail system. This makes it quick to install and prevents the need to enter into a confined space. Installed inside the basin is a ball and check valve, 2″ discharge plumbing at 12″ down from the solid fiberglass cover that is rated for 300 PSF. Shipped loose for field install is a 4″ inlet pipe seal and (2) 2″ pipe seals for vent and conduit. All pipe seal openings are to be drilled at the jobsite for accurate placement. The anti-flotation device (AFD) is built into the fiberglass wall and helps anchor the basin into the ground. This is pivotal in areas of high-water tables or to prevent ground pressures to push the basin out of the ground.
The NEMA 4X A-Pak alarm will provide an audible and visual warning if the water level presents the danger of overflow. This gives you time to act and protect your property from flooding. In the event of high water, red LED lights will illuminate around the periphery of the enclosure and a buzzer will sound notifying you of a potential problem. The audible buzzer is rated at 85 decibels at 10′ so it is recognizable even when installed outside the home. The A-Pak also includes a Silence/Reset/Test toggle switch that allows you to manually initiate important functions. The variable level control switch is normally open when hanging vertically above the liquid level. When the water level rises and the switch is raised a few degrees above the horizontal position the switch closes, completing the circuit to the alarm. The float that encases the mechanical switch is constructed of durable PVC/polypropylene.
