Product Details

The Zoeller Model 140/4140 Series submersible effluent pumps are designed for demanding septic effluent and dewatering applications, including septic tanks, low-pressure pipe systems, and enhanced-flow STEP systems. The 1 HP, oil-filled motor helps dissipate heat during extended operation, while the durable cast iron construction and powder-coated epoxy finish provide corrosion resistance in challenging environments. A non-clogging, engineered thermoplastic vortex impeller provides reliable pumping performance and passes 1/2-inch spherical solids.

Available in automatic and nonautomatic configurations, the 140/4140 Series offers options for 115 V or 230 V, single-phase systems. Model 140 pumps use a single mechanical seal, while Model 4140 pumps add a second seal for enhanced motor protection. Stainless steel hardware, automatic-reset thermal overload protection, and carbon-and-ceramic mechanical seals support dependable operation. Every pump is 100% factory tested to help ensure reliable performance right out of the box.
Features and Benefits
  • Oil-filled motor: Oil-filled motor optimizes heat dissipation, helping prevent overheating during extended use
  • Multiple operating configurations: Available in automatic (piggyback) and nonautomatic configurations to accommodate different system controls and installation requirements
  • Non-clogging vortex impeller: Engineered thermoplastic vortex impeller allows the passage of 1/2-inch spherical solids, helping reduce clogging and support reliable operation
  • Durable cast iron construction: Cast iron cap, motor housing, pump housing, and base provide strength for demanding effluent and dewatering applications
  • Corrosion-resistant finish: Powder-coated epoxy finish helps resist corrosion and extends casting life in harsh environments
  • Stainless steel hardware: Stainless steel exterior hardware helps prevent rust and corrosion for long-lasting performance.
  • Automatic motor protection: Automatic-reset thermal overload protection helps protect the motor from damaging operating temperatures
  • Double-seal option: Model 4140 features a double seal for extra motor protection. If the lower seal fails, the upper seal provides a second line of defense against pump failure
  • 100% factory tested: Every pump is factory tested to help ensure reliable performance in challenging applications
