Job description

Zoeller Pump Company established in 1939 has immediate full-time openings for Lathe Operators.

Starting pay of $21.70/hr. with rich benefit package (health insurance, 11 paid holidays, vacation, personal days and 401k).

Specific Job Duties:

Safely and efficiently operate industrial grade lathes repetitiously and other machine work as assigned on raw/machined castings weighing between 1-60 pounds, while becoming familiar with production processes and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Skills Required:

  • Prior experience using manual, turret, automatic or CNC lathes/turning stations and/or machine shop tools and production equipment experience is preferred with an educational background necessary to learn and utilize precision measuring instrumentation and perform lathe manipulation.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds, stand/walk for up to 10 hours per shift while lifting, bending, and twisting on a regular basis within a machine shop environment lacking climate control features.
  • It is understood synthetic oils and cutting agents are used for machining processes.
  • The utilization of pallet jacks, forklifts, lift tables or other lift assist mechanisms may be required.

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Monday to Thursday
  • 1st Shift (6:30a-5:00p)
  • 3rd Shift (8:00p-6:30a)

Experience:

  • Lathe Operator: 1 year (Required)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
