Product Details

The Model 945 Traction Guard System is a complete sump pump solution designed to remove water from traction elevator applications where hydraulic oil is not present. The system combines a cast iron submersible pump with a Pivot Series control panel and mechanical float switches to manage pump operation and provide early notification of rising water levels.

Available configurations include Models 152, 153, 161, 284, 292, and 294 pumps with horsepower, voltage, phase, discharge, and solids-handling options suited to a range of elevator sump requirements. Each pump features an oil-filled motor, cast iron construction, a vortex impeller, stainless steel hardware, and a power cord designed for continued exposure to the pumped liquid.

Features and Benefits
  • Oil-filled motor: Oil-filled motor optimizes heat dissipation, helping prevent overheating during extended use
  • Controlled pump operation: The nonautomatic pump works with the included Pivot Series control panel and mechanical float switches to establish the pump’s operating levels
  • Pumps are durable, cast iron construction with powder coated epoxy finish and all stainless steel fittings
  • Application-specific monitoring: The control panel provides visual and audible notification to help identify rising water levels before they become a larger issue
  • Durable cast iron construction: Cast iron pump components provide strength for demanding elevator sump applications
  • Protective finish: Epoxy-coated castings with a green powder-coated finish help protect the pump in demanding environments
  • Stainless steel hardware: Exposed 300-series stainless steel fasteners and a stainless steel lifting handle support corrosion resistance and convenient handling
  • Application-ready cord: The supplied SJOOW-type multiconductor power cord is designed for continued exposure to the pumped liquid
  • Flexible system selection: Pump options provide 1-1/2-inch or 2-inch discharge sizes and 3/4-inch or 2-inch solids handling, depending on the selected configuration
