Each year, Zoeller participates in Junior Achievement’s Inspire event, providing thousands of local students with the chance for one-on-one interaction with local businesses. In 2025, JA Inspire took place at the Kentucky Expo Center, attracting more than 50 exhibiting companies to provide students with valuable opportunities to learn about their businesses and the job and internship opportunities they offer.
This year, Zoeller hosted a pump build contest at their booth, allowing students to assemble the Model 53-0001 (M53) Sump Pump firsthand. Many students experienced using a power screwdriver for the first time, guided and supervised by Zoeller’s team of experts. The top three fastest times on the leaderboard each day earned JBL speakers as prizes.
Chris Zoeller, Corporate Supply Chain Manager and leader of Zoeller’s team at the event, remarked on the experience, stating, “It’s great to hear several kids express, after completing the pump assembly, that ‘This is a job I could do.'”
Zoeller Company has proudly been headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, for over 85 years. One of the four main pillars the company’s founder, August ‘Pop’ Zoeller, built the business on is Service. Service in support of their customers, employees, and community. Events like JA Inspire provide an amazing opportunity, not only for the kids, but for the company and its employees to connect with the future of the Louisville community and show them the importance of local manufacturing.
